Dream Car Classic Sunday, July 1 On Sunday,
July 1st, the monthly Downtown Hollywood Dream Car Classic takes place along Hollywood Boulevard between 19th and 20th Avenues from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Dream Car Classic features dozens of classic cars, trucks and other one-of-a-kind vehicles on display. Attendance is free. There is a $20.00 charge for those who wish to have their vehicles on display. To pre-register for the Dream Car Classic, email Joe Bevelacqua at jbevsr@msn.com and include your vehicle’s make and model. Vehicles also will be registered the morning of the show as space permits. Participation is limited to 85 vehicles with awards for the Top 30 vehicles and the People’s Choice Award. For more information on the Dream Car Classic, please call 954.825.1027.
4th of July Celebration on Hollywood Beach Wednesday, July 4
All are welcome to celebrate our nation’s 242nd birthday on Wednesday, July 4th at the annual 4th of July Celebration on Hollywood Beach. Sponsored by the City of Hollywood Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts and the Hollywood Community Redevelopment Agency Beach District, this annual event features entertainment beginning at 5:00 p.m., highlighted by a dazzling offshore fireworks display at 9:00 p.m.
AP Sound Stage Solar Concert Series
Visitors to the ArtsPark at Young Circle in downtown Hollywood may have noticed the new solar trees recently installed by Florida Power and Light. The trees are, in part, powering the amphitheater stage equipment, as well as other ArtsPark fixtures. In celebration of this green partnership, the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts will be hosting a series of “Solar Concerts” featuring local, live tribute bands. The concerts begin at 8:00 p.m., are free and lawn seating is available. Below is the schedule of bands.

Wondering what to do with the kids this summer? Bring them to the Broward County Library, Hollywood Branch, 2600 Hollywood Boulevard to participate in a variety of summer programs and activities such as Zumba and Yoga, story-time, playgroups and reading buddies. Programs cater to all ages from infant to 12 years of age, with some activities open to the entire family.
